In this age of digital revolution, learning through robotics is a fun and exciting way for children to foster their creative and critical thinking, and introduce them to science and math. Probo, a South Korean edtech company, launches its Probo Connect robotics curriculum in China and Southeast Asia as it aims to expand its services outside of South Korea.

Founded in 2011, Probo develops robotic educational products, providing various coding learning tools, robot-making packages, robot parts, and sensors. Probo aims to break away from the traditional robot textbooks and offer professional robot education through high-quality content. The company’s educational content allows parents and educators to encourage scientific curiosity and coding skills among schoolchildren.

The company also organizes coding competitions to help users learn the science behind robots while interacting with others. Probo annually organizes a Robot Championship attended by more than 800 participants.

“Probo” is a combination of the words Professional and Robot. The edtech company provides its products in South Korea, China, Vietnam, and Australia, among others. It has 33 branch offices here and an overseas subsidiary located in China.

Probo offers three curricula: the Probo Connect Kit, Probo Technic Kit, and Malang Malang Coding Trip. Probo’s products acquired various high safety standards such as KC Safety Certification, CCC Certification, and Quality Management System Certification, among others.

The Connect curriculum allows children to appreciate coding by building animal-shaped robot blocks. The product offers four levels with its curriculum.

  • Connect Kit Level 1

This level allows children to understand and apply in real life the basics and structure of robots through coding blocks. Users could create animal robots using a three-dimensional assembly map and an accompanying textbook. Children could build animal-shaped robots such as Baby Pig Robot Doni, Baby Bird Robot Buddy, and Seal Robot Toto.

  • Connect Kit Level 2

Probo’s Connect Kit Level 2 allows children to learn through competition and cooperation by creating game robots. The education course lets children to learn CPU, IR, LED, and FND by observing the movements of their creations. Students could build robots for rock-paper-scissors, weightlifting, arm-wrestling, and alien shooting, among others.

  • Connect Kit Level 3

Through this intermediate level, children could build heavy equipment and automobiles from robots to understand the principles of robotics. Through the Connect Kit level 3, users could create robots including Ant Robot Anbo, Cleaning Robot Wash, Police Bike Saica, Catapult Robot Dunjur, Battle Robot Rush, Fencing Robot Spear, 4wd Tough, and Boxing Robot Atta.

  • Connect Kit Level 4

For easy and fun learning, Probo Connect Kit level 4 includes various C-based language programs such as GULC and Probo Scratch. Users could use the package to build F1 Car Spion, Suspension Car Lak, Bucket Excavator Blaster, Bike Robot Storm, Tank Robot Ct-1, Smart Mobility Molly, and Dinosaur Robot Alo.
